- CH340 serial chip – needs a driver, unlike the 16U2 on the original.
- The DIP ATmega328P sits in a socket: swappable, you can even burn it separately.
- Feed VIN with 7–12V; the 3.3V output is weak (~50mA).
- 5V logic, classic shields just work.
